To ensure you get the most out of your appointment with the Orthopaedic Surgeon, here are a few tips that might help you: FAQs
Upon your first visit with the Orthopaedic Surgeon, it will most likely include a comprehensive medical history evaluation, physical test, as well as an imaging test (MRI, X-ray, or ultrasound scan) if necessary.
1. Write down any questions that you might have.
2. Keep a record of your physical condition, i.e. pain or weakness in the arm.
3. Refrain from taking any painkillers (if your pain is bearable) as it may cover up your condition.
4. Bring along any medical documents and notes that you might have from other doctors.
1. Forms – Financial counselling form and personal insurance policy/ letter of guarantee (LOG).
2. Medical documents – Any relevant medical records such as your MRI scan.
3. No food and drinks at least 6 hours before the operation.
4. Arrive 3 hours before your surgery to allow time for queueing, filling administrative forms at the counter and ward, as well as waiting time.
